It's never too late to plant SOMETHING! Weather here was really hot, then really cold. and rainy. It's a wonder my tomato plants have survived! Look forward to seeing what you plant.
I understand. My snips were the last thing I found when I moved to my cottage! I am also late with planting. I was able to put together two raised beds just in time for the seedlings my sister-in-law had saved for me. I now have some that are flowering! I have put one on each side of my newly poured patio., a gift from my daughter. It is so nice to step out onto concrete rather than dirt, especially after a rain. I have two more raised beds to assemble, but they will wait until fall. I can't wait to see the photos of your half barrel garden.
