It’s late October, which means it’s almost November, which means it’s nearly December, which means Christmas is almost here. How is it that, from now until December 25, it all seems to roll into one? How is it that an event that’s over two months away feels like it’s also, somehow, tomorrow? (How is it that I can have a bouquet of the last of the summer flowers on the bathroom shelf and be thinking of the upcoming holiday season?) Without even realizing, I find myself pulling on the reins, trying to temper the speed of it all, trying to be thoughtful and intentional about these coming days.
