Watching snowflakes fall and being illuminated by the nighttime street lamps; watching snow as it clings to the boughs of a small lighted fir tree outside our window; spending with family and friends; the scent of fresh cut pine boughs and the aroma of red wine mulling with brandy, cloves, cinnamon, star anise with slices of oranges, filling our home; making homemade foods to give; hanging the Christmas wreaths on our doors and windows; putting the finishing touches on 'that special gift' for each person; listening to O Holy Night. And the list could go on.
I remember as a little girl watching A Christmas Pageant and seeing how it's all about loving and being loved.
Oh, the fun journeys you take us on, Carmella!
What puts me in the mood for Christmas?
