Thank you! While my yard is bare, there is a large azalea next door and a dogwood across the street. Just seeing them lifts my spirits. I found a rather large circle of tulips that are just beginning to emerge by my front door. Someone must have enjoyed gardening at sometime during the last 100 years. My friends sent me off with Lenten roses and lillys to plant. Things will come together. I hope you are well and happy. My former husband was a naval aviator and then a NASA test pilot, so I feel another connection to you as well. There is something about knowing your husband is in the air to keep you awaiting his safe return.

My grandson has found a place to get free discarded wood. He is coming down to build two raised beds for me. I am blessed. I'll be happy to send pics. For now, google 414 E Baker St, Tarboro and you'll see the empty 100 year old house. I can't wait to make it a home!

I went right to Baker St, and there it was! What a pretty little home (you know I love the little ones!) I can just imagine what you will do with the landscaping. It's the perfect blank canvas for your gardening endeavors. Congratulations!

Very timely post about new life. I closed on my new home today! I am so excited. I will be moving in time to get a very small garden started, but look out 2026!

This is just wonderful news! Donna, I'm just so happy for you! Yes! Plant a garden, even if it's small - the best way to settle yourself in, isn't it? (I'd love to see pics of your new place!)
