I think this has been my favorite of your weekly diaries so far. You’ve inspired me to write my own occasional “noticings” from the week ♥️ I don’t comment often, but I’ve followed you for a few years and have always loved your writing and your gift for seeing the beauty in the world around you, even (especially!) in the simple things. Please keep sharing 🌷
Thank you so much, Kristi! The nudge to keep sharing is so appreciated, and it always seems to come at just the right time.
The weekly diary has become a favorite of mine to keep and share. It's been a good exercise in seeing that, even in a challenging chapter of our lives, there are gems hidden in every single day. I'm so happy to know you've begun to write your own occasional noticings. 😊
It's now day 5 and the dandelion garland is still just as sweet as ever. Not puffed away at all! (I thought it might last one day.) Oh, how blessed you are to have an abundance of ferns. They're just so beautiful!
So many wonderful ideas, Carmella. …must checkout the book for our woodworking boy, Christopher. It will make a great birthday present for him (he turns 35 this year! THIRTY-FIVE!!!!! Where does time go?).
The dandelion garland is such a sweet touch and so in sync with the “make do with what you have” philosophy.
Finally…I did not realize that Erin French, from The Lost Kitchen, had an online presence. Uh ohhhh👍.
I ordered the jam, the olive wood pinch bowls, a wooden doorstop, and the wooden pickle picker, which will be a gift to our son’s girlfriend whose homemade pickles are out-of-this-world delicious.
Yes, you must get this book for Christopher! I've thought of him several times while reading it. I imagine he'd also enjoy some of Eric Sloan's other titles, too.
Isn't Erin's shop delightful? You will love the jam! Truly. And the other treasures you found sound just perfect. Don't you love finding just the right gift for the right person?

Carmella:
The Dandelion garland is so Sweet and an amazing from Mother Nature. The china is absolutely beautiful, so love to have the set.
This is the Sweetest, so love how y’alls son came home, surprise and the Pizzas. It don’t get no better than this.❤️🍕
We have an abundance of Wild Ferns, all over here at the old farmhouse/acreage, there are many and many down by both Ponds, they are beautiful.
Thank you,
Karen

Indeed.
I find that when I listen folks tell me their heart’s desire.
I’m already deep into knitting sets of placemats as Christmas gifts for several people.
I did order the book for Christopher.
Will check out the other titles, too.
Chris is a minimalist, so I’m grateful for this inspiration. He’s an avid reader.
And yes, I love Erin’s shop. So tasteful.
I’m looking forward to receiving her jam.
My email tells me that it will arrive tomorrow.
Woohoo.
Enjoy your evening.

What a lovely china pattern.

Such a fun read. Thank you.
