I've had two different colors of the Amaryllis bulb, red and white. They are beautiful!

And I also love reading Gladys Taber books. If you can find this title, it's a nice collaborated book with a friend who lived in Pennsylvania ..."1953 - Stillmeadow and Sugarbridge

Carmella, I’m sure I mentioned Gladys Taber to you years ago - love her still! So, I have a couple more recommendations: The Salt Path by Raynor Winn. Read it!! (if you haven’t already) There are two more after it. The Wild Silence and Landlines. In order, please! 😁 One more - The Scent of Water, by Elizabeth Goudge. You won’t regret reading any of these. xo

Lisa, perhaps you did! I know the recommendation came from a reader, and there are many of you who love her writing as much as I do, how fun. I've heard The Salt Path recommended more than once. Thanks for your nudge to take the leap! The Scent of Water sounds just lovely, too.

Carmella:

The Fisherman Sweater, so love them, have two, they are my fav., so sweet you handed down to Mama Kitty. The Stonebridge love the back story on this, and how awesome there are pics.

Thank you,

Karen

I love Gladys Taber and have all her books on Still Meadow, her Cape Cod house, her books on her cats and dogs and her cookbooks. I was such a fan, year ago I visited her daughter Constance and took a photo of with her. I still read her and her friend Faith Baldwin's books when I need to refresh my spirit with their stories of nature, pets, traditions and plain country living...

Oh, I've not read any from her Cape Cod house yet! I agree, her writing is so good to turn to when we need to refresh our spirits.
