Maggie Mae’s expression is priceless. She looks like she’s saying, “...but, I was having so much fun, Mom. Can we go out again later and play more Catch-The-Snowball?”

My childhood memories of winter are that snowfalls were much deeper then. (Of course, I WAS much also much shorter :-).

How much fun our mom, who was a single working mother, would have taking us out to play at night in the new-fallen snow, while other kids had to wait until morning. I felt ‘special’ to be able to tromp around and leave snow angels in the virgin landscape.

Thanks mom.

What a beautiful memory of experiencing snow with your mom in this way, and all the applause and respect for her for doing this with you at the end of a long work day. Inspiring.

She was head-down, plowing snow with her face, sniffing for mice trails. She was SURE she was going to catch one!
